The Impact Associate will support the Managing Director of Impact in maintaining and implementing our robust impact measurement and management (IMM) systems, which are at the heart of our work as impact investors. ​ The role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an established impact investing firm, working in private markets to drive positive social and environmental impact and significant business value for DWM and its stakeholders. This is a full-time position based in New Delhi, India. ​​ Main Responsibilities : The Impact Associate will focus on maximizing the effectiveness of DWM’s impact management systems and helping to expand them as we grow into new sectors and deal types. Key responsibilities include: ​​ Review and analyze impact and ESG data from portfolio companies to support investment selection, monitoring, and portfolio reporting. Support impact due diligence and conduct ESG assessments on pipeline companies, in collaboration with Investment and Risk teams. This may include international travel to conduct site visits. Maintain database of impact and ESG data, regularly checking accuracy and supporting integration with other DWM data sources. Monitor portfolio company achievement of impact milestones and support follow-up. Advance DWM’s progress against key commitments including the 2X Challenge, Net Zero Asset Managers, the Operating Principles for Impact Management, and the Impact Frontiers Impact Reporting Norms. Stay on top of major developments and new research within the impact investing space to inform DWM’s impact strategies. Conduct in-depth research into key topics relating to impact, climate change, gender equity, ESG, sustainable investment regulation, etc. as needs arise. Support the development of new impact theses and products. Title: South & Southeast Asia Region Head – Financial Institutions & Fintech ​ Reporting Line: Head of Private Credit ​ Location: Delhi, India ​ Work Format: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in-person per week, with the remainder remote) The Role: You will join DWM’s Private Credit team with responsibility for the strategic planning, origination, execution, and team leadership activities of the South & Southeast Asia region. The role calls for an experienced and highly motivated professional who can operate as both player and coach – driving deals while also developing a high-performing regional team. You will lead marketing, originating, structuring, due diligence, and on-going portfolio monitoring of financial institutions and fintech transactions across the region. Key Responsibilities: ​ Strategic Leadership Define and execute the regional strategy aligned with DWM’s risk, return, and impact objectives. Manage and mentor a regionally-focused investment team (currently 3 Full Time Employees), fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Lead by example, balancing independent execution with effective delegation and team development. Provide guidance to team members on quantitative and qualitative analysis of prospective investment opportunities, including financial modeling, credit risk assessment, industry research, and operational analysis. Perform thematic research into emerging sectors and markets and contribute thought leadership within DWM. ​ Origination, Due Diligence, and Deal Execution Leverage an existing network of relationships and proactively develop new ones with financial institutions, fintechs, specialty finance companies, and key stakeholders within the impact investing ecosystem across South & Southeast Asia. Lead origination across multiple channels: directs, co-lending, syndications, PE sponsors, and secondaries. Oversee all aspects of deal negotiation and drafting of legal transaction documentation in coordination with internal and external counsel, including developing investment structures and theses, conducting on-site due diligence, and producing well-supported investment memos and recommendations to the investment committees. Work in close coordination with internal and external legal counsel to draft, negotiate, and close transaction documentation. Portfolio and Relationship Management Maintain contact with existing borrowers on a regularly scheduled frequency, oversee performance evaluation, and manage restructuring or workout processes as needed. Ensure accurate reporting and data management within internal systems. Contribute to impact measurement, investment monitoring, and regional market research. New Sector Development Support new product development and business initiatives for the private credit business as the firm expands into new sectors, geographies, and or investor bases.
