Provide 24‑hour medical coverage for emergencies, inpatient care, and on‑call services in a hospital/clinic setting.
- Emergency & Acute Care – Assess, triage, stabilize, and treat critical patients perform life‑saving procedures (e.g., intubation, CPR).
- In‑patient Rounds – Conduct daily ward rounds, review labs/imaging, adjust treatment plans, document progress notes.
- On‑Call Duties – Respond to urgent calls, coordinate with specialists, arrange transfers, and manage crises outside regular hours.
- Team Coordination – Supervise junior doctors, nurses, and allied health staff; lead code‑blue events and rapid‑response teams.
- Documentation & Compliance – Complete accurate medical records, consent forms, death certificates, and ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and medico‑legal standards.
- Education & Training – Mentor interns/residents, conduct case discussions, and stay updated on clinical guidelines and protocols.
