You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware for measurement and validation instruments. This includes developing real-time applications using C and C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors. Additionally, you will work with Embedded Linux, focusing on device drivers, kernel configurations, and user-space applications. Your role will involve optimizing firmware for performance, power efficiency, and reliability, as well as debugging, testing, and validating firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers. Collaboration with hardware engineers for seamless integration between firmware and hardware will be essential. You will also play a part in developing and maintaining documentation, including design specifications and test plans, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have 4 to 6 years of experience in embedded firmware development, with strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded systems. Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, including kernel configurations and device tree modifications, is required. Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto) would be advantageous. Familiarity with microcontrollers, such as Atmel, MSP430, or similar, is necessary, as well as experience with firmware debugging tools like JTAG and GDB. Knowledge of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and MQTT is expected, and exposure to wireless protocols such as Zigbee, BLE, or Wi-Fi is beneficial. Proficiency in version control systems (Git/GitHub) and Agile development processes is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential. Preferred qualifications for the role include a minimum qualification of B.E / B.Tech in Electronics (EEE or ECE), experience in sensor interfacing and data acquisition systems, an understanding of industrial automation and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO standards), exposure to cloud-based IoT platforms, and hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python for test automation.,
