Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and creative Jewellery CAD Designer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating precise and detailed 3D models of jewellery using Rhino or Matrix. This role is a crucial link between design and production, requiring a strong understanding of both CAD software and the practicalities of jewellery manufacturing. Responsibilities: Create accurate and high-quality 3D CAD models from a variety of sources, including technical drawings, sketches, and physical reference pieces. Develop new jewellery designs based on a few reference images, using your creative judgment to fill in details and finalize a cohesive design. Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are optimized for production, considering factors like material usage, stone setting, and finishing techniques. Prepare files for various manufacturing processes, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and casting. Review and revise CAD models based on feedback from senior designers or the production team to ensure they meet quality and manufacturing standards. Maintain a well-organized library of CAD files and design assets. Requirements: Proven experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer, specifically with Rhino or Matrix. In-depth knowledge of jewellery fabrication and manufacturing processes, including casting, finishing, and stone setting. A strong portfolio showcasing your work from concept to final CAD model. Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for proportion, aesthetics, and design. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in other design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
