Desired Candidate Profile 1. Qualification : B.Sc. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing & M.Sc. Nursing with Valid registration of the State Nursing Council. 2. Minimum 25+ years of total nursing experience, with at least 5-7 years in a supervisory/administrative role (e.g., DNS/ANS) within a large, multi-specialty hospital. 3. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and regulations. 4. A Nursing professional, who has active Indian Professional RN, RM license with Masters degree, capable in handling the complete gamut of nursing activities. 5 . Proven track record in managing l arge teams effectively. 6. Excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate staff towards achieving goals. Job Responsibility for Nursing Superintendent -NS Leadership Qualifications: 1. Strategic Planning: Plan, organize, and direct all activities of the Nursing Department to ensure efficient and effective patient care. 2. Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and periodically review nursing policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with NABH Nursing Excellence Standards. 3. Inter-Departmental Coordination: Act as the key liaison between the nursing services and the Medical Superintendent, Clinical Departments, and Hospital Administration to streamline operations. 4. Resource Management: Prepare the annual budget for the Nursing Department, manage resource allocation, and ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and supplies. Quality & Patient Safety Management: 1. Training and Development: To train and be knowledgeable in BLS, ACLS, and CME-related training. 2. NABH Compliance: Take overall accountability for maintaining compliance with all NABH standards across nursing units, specifically in areas like Access, Assessment, Care of Patients, and Infection Control. 3. Quality Indicators: Monitor and analyze key nursing quality indicators (e.g., pressure ulcer rate, medication error rate, patient satisfaction scores) and initiate corrective action plans for continuous improvement (CQI). 4. Risk Management: Oversee the reporting and investigation of sentinel events, adverse drug events, and patient safety incidents.
