The Senior Consultant / Assistant Director Medical is responsible for providing high-quality patient care while also leading medical operations, supervising teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and hospital standards. Key Responsibilities : Clinical Responsibilities: Provide accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management. Conduct OPD consultations, IPD rounds, and clinical procedures as required. Manage complex and critical cases with strong clinical decision-making. Review and approve treatment plans, investigations, and discharge summaries. Guide patient counselling, education, and follow-up care. Ensure adherence to evidence-based, ethical, and protocol-driven medical practice. Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, meetings, and training programs. Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and interdepartmental coordination. Mentor and supervise junior doctors, medical staff, and paramedical teams. Ensure compliance with SOPs, NABH standards, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor quality of care, patient safety, and hospital service standards. Assist in recruitment, training, and staff performance evaluation. Address escalated patient queries and ensure patient satisfaction. Support strategic planning, policy development, and workflow improvements. Prepare reports, monitor documentation, and support quality initiatives.
