Job Description

Product Manager, India DPDP Program:

About Consltek and the program

Consltek is a governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and cybersecurity consultancy serving clients in the US and India. On October 15, 2026, we launched a practice for India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

The law applies to almost every company handling personal data about people in India, with no size or revenue threshold. Core obligations start on May 13, 2027. Most Indian firms have not started, so they need education before they buy.

We take clients from first awareness to ongoing compliance. It starts with free education, online and in person, and a paid one-day workshop. A Readiness Check and Gap Assessment show where a company stands. Our GRC and consent platform partners then help close the gaps, and managed compliance takes over after go-live. We also help employers meet their DPDP obligations for their own employees' personal data. Healthcare is our first focus, followed by financial services, SaaS and application developers, and companies serving Indian customers.

The role

The Product Manager, India DPDP Program, owns revenue for the practice, from first webinar to renewal. As the only go-to-market owner, you are also the face of the program in India.

You create and lead the go-to-market product set, deciding what we sell and what it costs. You also build the partner channels and run marketing and education in both India and the US. On the sales side, you turn webinar attendees into Readiness Check clients, then carry them through implementation and onto managed compliance after May 13, 2027.

Our DPDP subject matter expert owns the legal accuracy of every document, and our technical solutions team delivers remediation. You partner with both, so you need enough privacy fluency to sell credibly and to know when to pull in the expert or counsel. No law degree required.

The practice launched in October 2026, so we need a builder who plans a year ahead. You understand that strong privacy compliance earns customer trust and wins deals, and you can make a skeptical CFO see it the same way. You will grow the marketing and business development team around you, set the weekly operating rhythm, and keep every workstream on schedule for May 13, 2027. Expect to set your own priorities and catch problems early, then organize the team to fix them before they reach leadership.

What you will do

Program ownership and strategy

  • Own the DPDP program P&L, revenue targets, and the product roadmap from launch through the May 13, 2027 deadline and beyond.
  • Set the ideal customer profile and adjust it as deals come in, starting with mid-market healthcare, then financial services, SaaS developers, and non-Indian companies serving India.
  • Chair the weekly practice review and the monthly pipeline, delivery, margin, and risk review.
  • Get leadership decisions on budget, pricing, cadence, and capacity ahead of the April to May 2027 demand peak.

Product set and pricing

  • Design and price the go-to-market product set, starting with the current offer ladder: one-day paid workshop, Readiness Check, Gap Assessment, implementation program, sector editions, and managed compliance.
  • Add, adapt, or retire offers based on win rates, margin, and client demand.
  • Write one-page scopes, the standard proposal, and the statement of work with the subject matter expert.
  • Set discount rules for partners and early clients, and track win rates and margin by offer.

Marketing and education

  • Own the marketing calendar and the 30-60-90 day plan, and lead the marketing team that executes it.
  • Run the webinar series (overview, healthcare, financial services, SaaS developers, companies outside India) at roughly 90% education and 10% offer.
  • Lead the LinkedIn explainer series, newsletter, landing page, search content, and gated sector guides.
  • Plan in-person events and half-day workshops in two to three Indian cities, starting with Bengaluru.
  • Run a US education track for privacy counsel, CISOs, and heads of India operations at US companies.
  • Keep Consltek's own marketing compliant: consent capture per purpose on every form, list, and CRM record.

Sales and pipeline

  • Host webinars, speak at industry events, and lead executive discovery calls across India.
  • Lead the business development representative and convert discovery calls into workshops, Readiness Checks into Gap Assessments, and assessments into implementation proposals within five working days.
  • Own the CRM pipeline, forecast, and monthly metrics report.

Partners and channels

  • Build referral partnerships with Indian law firms, chartered accountant firms, and industry bodies such as NASSCOM, DSCI, CII, and FICCI.
  • Select and manage GRC and consent platform partners, with an MSP revenue-share program as a firm requirement.
  • Co-market with partners, including law-firm webinars for US-based clients and healthcare webinars with software partners.

Quality and client success

  • Make sure every client-facing claim passes subject matter expert review and Indian counsel review before first release.
  • Capture one client example per sector for guides, the website, and sales.
  • Track client outcomes and renewals, and grow managed-compliance revenue after go-live.

How we will measure success

In your first 90 days, you will finalize pricing, launch the webinar series, sign the first partners, and book the first paid workshops. The targets below come from our marketing plan, and leadership will confirm them at hire.

  • Hands-on B2B marketing leadership: webinars, events, LinkedIn and content programs, campaigns, and funnel metrics.
  • Experience selling consultative services to mid-market executives such as owners, CFOs, CIOs, CISOs, and compliance heads.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy or cybersecurity compliance, such as DPDP, GDPR, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, or SOC 2, and the ability to explain it in plain language.

  • Experience building partner or channel programs with law firms, industry bodies, or technology vendors.
  • A record of hiring and leading teams of marketers, sellers, or consultants, and running them on a clear weekly cadence without close supervision.

  • Sector experience in healthcare, financial services (RBI, SEBI, or IRDAI regulated), or SaaS.
  • Familiarity with privacy and GRC platforms such as One Trust, Security, Sprinto, or consent management tools.
  • An existing network with NASSCOM, DSCI, CII, FICCI, IAPP, or chartered accountant and legal communities.
