Job Summary: We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial Director of Sales to join our growing software services startup. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to build and lead the sales function from the ground up , define go-to-market strategies, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and brings deep experience in solution-based selling for software or digital services . Key Responsibilities: Define and execute the company’s sales strategy tailored for a startup ecosystem. Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and creating scalable sales processes. Build, manage, and mentor a lean, high-performing sales team aligned with growth goals. Take ownership of the full sales cycle — from lead generation to contract closure. Work closely with founders and senior leadership to shape the company’s revenue and client acquisition roadmap. Act as a key driver of growth , bringing your experience to guide pricing, targeting, partnerships, and expansion strategies. Manage sales metrics, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline development. Represent the company in client meetings, pitches, and industry events. Maintain deep knowledge of the company’s services and develop persuasive proposals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus). 10+ years of B2B sales experience , ideally in software services or IT consulting. Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment is highly preferred. Proven ability to build sales teams, systems, and strategy from scratch. Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a resource-constrained environment. Strong solution-selling, client relationship, and negotiation skills. Self-starter with a growth mindset and a high degree of ownership. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
