As a Django Developer at a technology-driven Software Product & Enterprise Web Applications specialist based in India, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and web applications using Django and Django REST Framework. You will be responsible for ensuring clean, maintainable code and authoring RESTful APIs while optimizing queries using PostgreSQL and Django ORM for performance and reliability. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and web applications using Django and Django REST Framework - Authoring RESTful APIs, defining database schemas, and optimizing queries using PostgreSQL and Django ORM - Implementing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and enforcing code quality and security best practices - Containerizing applications with Docker, collaborating on CI/CD pipelines, and supporting deployment activities for on-site environments - Troubleshooting production issues, monitoring application health, and implementing fixes to maintain uptime and responsiveness - Working cross-functionally with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver features on schedule and refine technical designs Qualifications required for this role include: Must-Have: - 3+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications with Python and Django - Proven experience with Django REST Framework and designing RESTful APIs - Strong SQL and schema-design experience with PostgreSQL and Django ORM optimizations - Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Git-based source control workflows - Experience writing automated tests, conducting code reviews, and using CI/CD pipelines for deployments - Ability to work on-site in India and collaborate directly with cross-functional teams Preferred: - Experience with Celery and Redis for background tasks and caching - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and deployment tools (Gunicorn, Nginx) - Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry) and performance tuning In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you can expect to be part of an on-site engineering team with strong mentorship, peer code reviews, and a delivery-focused culture.
