Finance Executive - Digisafe Insurance Location: Pune, Maharashtra | Experience: 1-2 Years | Employment Type: Full-Time About Digisafe Insurance Digisafe Insurance is a fast-growing insurance brokerage startup committed to delivering innovative insurance solutions with a customer-centric approach. We're building a lean, agile finance team in Pune to support our rapid scaling. We're looking for an experienced finance professional who can hit the ground running and take ownership of our financial operations. About the Role We're seeking a Finance Executive with 1+ years of hands-on finance experience to join our finance team and drive accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This is an impactful role perfect for someone ready to take greater responsibility in a fast-paced startup environment while continuing to grow their expertise. In this position, you'll own key financial processes, lead accounting operations, and work closely with senior leadership to support strategic financial decisions. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations & Leadership: Own day-to-day accounting operations using Tally ERP/Prime, including ledger entries, journal postings, account reconciliations, and reconciliation scheduling Compliance & Regulatory Management: Lead GST return preparation, TDS computation and compliance, and timely filing of statutory documents with minimal supervision Payroll Administration: Execute employee payroll processing, maintain accurate payroll records, and ensure timely salary disbursements Financial Documentation & Controls: Prepare and manage invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation; oversee invoice and payment workflows with strong internal controls Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and MIS reports; create Excel-based dashboards and automated reports using VBA Audit & Compliance: Lead coordination with internal and external auditors; prepare comprehensive audit documentation and schedules Financial Regulations & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, maintain detailed audit trails, and implement best practices in financial governance Process Optimization: Identify process inefficiencies and drive automation initiatives; implement Excel VBA solutions to reduce manual work Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with operations and management teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field Proven proficiency in Tally ERP or Tally Prime (minimum 1 year of hands-on experience) Technical Competencies & Experience Advanced MS Excel skills with demonstrated expertise Proven experience in GST compliance and TDS calculations with real-world implementation Hands-on experience in payroll processing and employee financial management Strong working knowledge of ledger & journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping principles Experience in creating Excel VBA-based reports and financial automation solutions Sound understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks Demonstrated experience in invoice and payment management workflows Professional Attributes Written English proficiency with Strong verbal communication and presentation skills Problem-solving mindset with proven ability to handle multiple priorities and complex financial scenarios Adaptability and continuous learning mindset in a startup environment High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management Self-motivated professional with ability to work with minimal supervision Nice-to-Have Skills Experience in insurance or financial services sector What We Offer Competitive Salary based on qualifications, experience, and performance Opportunity to earn additional bonus based on individual and company performance Exposure to diverse financial operations; opportunities to work on strategic financial projects Work in an agile, collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact business outcomes Open to flexible work arrangements and performance-based incentives Why Join Digisafe Insurance?
