Role Overview We are looking for a Junior Video Editor who is passionate about short-form content and social media storytelling. You will work closely with our marketing and content teams to create engaging videos, reels, and visual assets for platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and ads. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow rapidly in performance marketing and brand content. Key Responsibilities Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and ads Create engaging video content from raw footage, screen recordings, stock clips, and templates Add captions, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and basic motion graphics Repurpose long-form content into short, high-retention clips Follow DietOwl’s brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity Collaborate with the marketing team on content ideas and iterations Deliver edits quickly while maintaining quality and consistency Requirements Basic to intermediate experience with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar) Strong understanding of social media video formats (9:16, short attention spans, hooks) Ability to add clean captions and on-screen text Good sense of pacing, music selection, and storytelling Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve quickly Interest in health, fitness, or lifestyle content is a plus Nice to Have Experience editing reels or short-form content for brands Basic knowledge of motion graphics or animations Understanding of performance-driven content (CTR, hooks, retention) Familiarity with AI tools for video or captions What You’ll Get Work with a fast-growing AI health startup Hands-on experience with real marketing campaigns and ads Creative freedom and room to experiment Opportunity to grow into a senior content or performance role Competitive compensation based on skill and output How to Apply Share your portfolio or sample work (reels, shorts, videos) along with a brief introduction about yourself.
