Manager – Process Engineering | Jewellery Manufacturing Location: MIDC Andheri, Mumbai Experience: 8–12 years Industry: Jewellery / Luxury Manufacturing At Diatrends, excellence is engineered, not accidental. We are looking for a Manager – Process Engineering to lead innovation, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive operational excellence in our luxury jewellery production. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence quality, efficiency, and technological advancement. Role Overview Process Improvement & Optimisation Technology & Machinery Utilisation R&D on Material / Resource Management Collaboration and Project Management Factory Set up Machine Maintenance Sustainability and Compliance AI and ML Integration – Optional Key Responsibilities Process Improvement & Optimization Lead continuous improvement initiatives across pre-casting processes (wax injection, sprue systems, casting parameters, graining, burnout, investment, bench work). Optimize machinery utilization, including: 3D Wax Printing Technology Rhodium Processing Systems CVD Machinery Engraving & Laser Welding Tools CAD Software & Rendering Systems Mass Finishing & Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems Introduce CNC mechanical processes (stamping, rolling, die-cutting) and advanced metal recovery and finishing techniques . Technology & Machinery Utilization Assess machinery performance, recommend upgrades, and implement cutting-edge manufacturing technologies . Oversee integration of automation tools and robotics to enhance precision and efficiency. Research & Development Drive R&D on materials, resources, and process innovations . Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing for scalable production solutions . Design or improve tools, jigs, and special-purpose machinery to boost productivity, quality, and reduce costs. AI & ML Integration (Optional) Leverage AI and ML to analyze process data, predict trends, and implement advanced automation solutions. Develop predictive models for equipment performance, defect reduction, and process optimization. Collaboration & Project Management Collaborate with design and production teams to provide technical solutions for new product lines . Lead technical projects , ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals. Factory Setup & Machine Maintenance Oversee factory setup , smooth workflow management, and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Sustainability & Compliance Drive sustainable manufacturing practices and optimize resource utilization. Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications (GMP, RJC, ISO). Material & Resource Management Optimize usage of materials and consumables to reduce costs while improving quality. Identify alternative materials and tools for new developments and innovations . Skill Development & Team Leadership Monitor performance metrics to improve team productivity. Conduct skill enhancement programs to elevate team competency effectively. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in process engineering or manufacturing optimization (preferably in jewellery/luxury manufacturing). Expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies, CNC processes, and machinery utilization . Hands-on experience with factory setup, preventive maintenance, and cross-functional project management . Ability to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of new technologies . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
