DevOps Engineer

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience: 5 years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on AWS, GitHub, and automation.

• Technical Skills: o Proficient in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

• Strong experience with GitHub for version control.

• Expertise in using Postman for API testing and automation.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.).

• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and practices.

• Strong networking skills within cloud environments.

• Experience with identity management solutions (AWS IAM, SSO, etc.).

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certification.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure on AWS.

• Version Control: Utilize GitHub for source control management, ensuring best practices in code management, branch strategies, and collaboration.

• API Testing: Use Postman for API development, testing, and automation to ensure robust and reliable APIs.

• Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline to automate builds, tests, and deployments.

• Cloud Security: Implement and manage cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring.

• Networking: Configure and manage networking components on AWS, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers.

• Identity Management: Implement and manage identity management solutions, ensuring secure and streamlined user authentication and authorization.

• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health, performance, and security.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of processes, configurations, and procedures.
