The IT Project Manager position involves managing projects from inception to completion, fostering collaboration with internal and external teams, and ensuring project deliverables are achieved. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of IT project planning, execution, and delivery with a focus on IT operations and infrastructure modernization for the Dept. of Early Care & Learning (DECAL). The ideal candidate should possess over five years of experience in IT project management, along with PMP and ScrumMaster (CSM) certifications. Your key responsibilities will include developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating internal resources and external vendors, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery, and engaging stakeholders in defining project scopes and objectives. You will track project performance, report issues to management, manage client relationships, and perform risk management activities. Additionally, you will create and maintain project documentation, reports, and presentations for management, support the PMO group, and promote a collaborative team environment. As an IT Project Manager, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field, along with proven experience in IT project management, PMP, and CSM certifications. Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, and SAFe methodologies, IT operations, and infrastructure modernization is required. Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance standards, tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Salesforce, as well as strong stakeholder and vendor management skills are essential. Experience in business analysis responsibilities, CAPS Business Process, and Gateway Integrations is advantageous. Qualifications for this role also include demonstrated expertise in risk management, change control, requirements gathering, and documentation, along with proficiency in test planning, data analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and client-facing communication abilities are necessary. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines is crucial for success in this position. This is a contract role with an expected commitment of 40 hours per week, requiring on-site presence in Atlanta, GA 30312 for mandatory meetings and work arrangements.
