Designer - AutoCAD

The Designer - AutoCAD will be responsible for managing projects starting from conceptual development and collaborating with client groups to oversee and implement the design. Utilizing AutoCAD, you will be drawing various electrical prewired assemblies, which includes creating and modifying layouts, details, sections, and other detailed drawings. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting or leading the development of standards, templates, libraries, optimizations, and processes. Exporting drawings to PDF and other formats will also be a part of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve interacting with internal team members such as Production, Sales, Project Managers, and other technical liaisons. To qualify for this position, you should have a High School Degree, or be enrolled in a related degree/certificate program. An Associates Degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) is preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in AutoCAD or a similar product is required. You should have the ability to organize, schedule, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, including the ability to collaborate across different functions to understand requirements, propose alternatives, and provide recommendations. Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency are also important qualities. Previous experience with electrical drawings is advantageous. Familiarity with the National Electric Code, GIS, and coordinate systems is a plus. The role may require up to 25% travel. ,
