Job Description

The position of Design/Engineering Engineer for pump packages, pump components, and pump layouts involves the responsibility of preparing technical documentation related to projects. As the Design/Engineering Engineer, your primary goal is to ensure product safety by conducting thorough reviews and designs, as well as promoting worksite safety by advocating for FLS policies and procedures. Your role will require you to work on varied and complex tasks with minimal supervision. You should be proficient in generating 2D detail drawings, creating complex 3D models, and assembling them using CAD software. Additionally, you will need to provide end-to-end support to specific operations and functional team initiatives that are interdependent with engineering work. To maintain high engineering standards, you will be responsible for reviewing both your own and your team members" design and drafting work in compliance with established standards. Driving engineering performance by focusing on key indicators such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Key Quality Indicators (KQI), utilization, and efficiency will be a crucial aspect of your role. Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) techniques should be applied to sustain and enhance these key indicators. Preparing engineering standards, procedures, checklists, and learning points to minimize errors for all types of assignments within responsible business units will be part of your routine tasks. Effective communication and collaboration with business units are essential to achieve high customer satisfaction. Building strong collaboration between team engineers and supervisors, training design drafters, and participating in standardization projects are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience of 3+ years or 5+ years in the pumps or rotating equipment industry. Knowledge of design standards such as ASME, API, and DIN, as well as proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings, documents, and reports, are highly preferred. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks, familiarity with GD&T, and adherence to drafting standards are essential skills required for this position.
