Deputy Manager – Finance & Accounts (Costing)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain standard cost sheets for existing and new products, including BOM and routing validations. • Analyse and report variances between standard and actual costs; identify root causes and corrective actions. • Collaborate with plant, SCM, and production teams to validate cost drivers and improve accuracy. • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting exercises with detailed cost input and scenario modelling. • Evaluate the financial impact of changes in raw material, labour, or overhead on product margins. • Allocate overheads and indirect costs using appropriate methodologies for accurate product costing. • Generate monthly cost MIS, including profitability analysis, cost variance reports, and management insights. • Maintain costing data in ERP systems; ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with finance records. • Support internal and statutory audits with required cost data, justifications, and documentation. • Identify and support implementation of cost control and efficiency improvement initiatives. Education Qualification and Experience • ICWA (CMA) preferred; MBA (Finance) with strong costing background will also be considered • 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive sector Skill Set: • Strategy formation • Team building & development • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and cost structure management • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel • Analytical mindset with financial modeling capability • Excellent coordination and cross-functional communication skills • Audit and documentation readiness Show more Show less
