We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Accounts with strong experience in the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry.
The candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable, Forex Remittance, reconciliations, GST/TDS compliance, vendor payments, and overall accounting activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting operations within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
- Process and verify vendor invoices, bills, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Handle vendor reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage Forex Remittance related to international payments and transactions.
- Coordinate with banks and internal teams for foreign currency payments/remittances.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor and overseas payments.
- Handle GST-related activities, including reconciliation and filing support.
- Manage TDS calculation, deduction, reconciliation, and filing.
- Perform regular bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
- Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Monitor outstanding payables and ensure payments are processed within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and other departments regarding billing and payment-related issues.
- Prepare MIS and periodic reports related to payables, payments, reconciliations, and finance activities.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company accounting policies.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
- Support audits and provide required financial documents and information.
- Guide and supervise junior accounting team members when required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Hands-on experience in Forex Remittance
- Strong knowledge of GST and TDS
- Excellent Bank / Vendor / Ledger Reconciliation skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software/ERP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage a team and handle multiple activities independently
Pay: ₹482,163.69 - ₹600,000.00 per year
