As a Pedodontist, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive dental care to our young patients, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and general dental services. Your responsibilities will include: Staying current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and integrating new ideas into practice. Reviewing patients" medical histories and discussing their symptoms and concerns. Using dental instruments and x-ray equipment to diagnose dental issues. Developing and implementing treatment plans based on diagnosed conditions. Evaluating the need for surgical treatment and determining the treatment duration for optimal outcomes. Performing precise treatments and providing clear postoperative instructions. Conducting pre-treatment medical investigations and prescribing pre-treatment medications as needed. Demonstrating expertise in dental materials and instruments required for various procedures. Keeping up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in pediatric dentistry. Conducting comprehensive oral examinations for children and assessing their dental and oral development. Diagnosing and treating common pediatric dental issues, including cavities, tooth decay, and gum diseases. Performing dental procedures tailored to children's needs, such as fillings, extractions, and space maintenance. Educating parents and caregivers on effective oral hygiene practices for children. Monitoring and addressing the growth and development of childrens teeth and jaws. Providing preventive care such as dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Managing dental trauma and emergencies related to childrens oral health. Creating a child-friendly and supportive environment to reduce dental anxiety. Collaborating with orthodontists and oral surgeons for complex cases. Teaching children about the importance of oral health in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. Qualifications Expertise in Pediatric Dentistry with a strong background in oral surgery and general dental care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. High attention to detail and empathy towards child patients. Valid license to practice dentistry in Kolkata, India. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pediatric dentistry.
