Forecast Analyst – Basic SQL

Job Title: Forecast Analyst / Demand Planning Analyst

Location: Bangalore

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Forecast Analyst to support demand forecasting, data analysis, inventory planning, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate should have good analytical skills, experience working with data, and a basic understanding of SQL to retrieve and analyse information from databases.

Important: This role does not require an SQL Programmer or SQL Developer. Candidates with basic SQL knowledge who can write simple queries to retrieve data and generate reports are suitable.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and validate demand history and other system data.

- Assist in generating monthly statistical forecasts and identifying data outliers.

- Monitor forecast accuracy, deviations, and potential biases.

- Use basic SQL queries to retrieve and extract data from databases.

- Analyse data and prepare reports using Excel and other reporting tools.

- Generate reports from data warehouses and forecasting systems.

- Investigate forecast variances and identify potential root causes.

- Support inventory planning and demand forecasting activities.

- Maintain process documentation and reporting records.

- Collaborate with supply chain and other business teams to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Approximately 3 years of experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, supply chain, reporting, or data analysis.

- Basic SQL knowledge — ability to write simple SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, and basic filtering queries.

- Good Excel skills and experience working with datasets and reports.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

- Ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and prepare meaningful reports.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
