Our platform combines threat detection , compliance automation , and secure file management , built with a clean user experience and modern technology stack. As a part of our early-stage team, you’ll gain hands-on experience building real-world cybersecurity products that make a difference. Role Overview: We’re looking for energetic, curious, and strategy-driven Business Development Interns to help expand Defenseware’s reach. If you enjoy outreach, building relationships, spotting opportunities, and figuring out how to scale a product in the real world, you’ll thrive here. You’ll work across sales, marketing, partnerships, and customer research—basically the frontlines of startup growth. Key Responsibilities Identify and qualify potential leads, clients, and partnership opportunities Assist in building and executing outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, communities) Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to support strategy Help prepare pitch decks, product demos, and sales collateral Support founders in meetings, note-taking, and follow-up communication Maintain CRM data, pipelines, and weekly performance reports Collaborate with marketing for content ideas, brand positioning, and GTM initiatives Assist in shaping pricing strategy, customer onboarding, and feedback loops Contribute to community-building and engagement activities What You’ll Learn Startup go-to-market strategy and customer acquisition How to run BD outreach, sales funnels, and lead qualification Using CRM tools, automation platforms, and outreach systems Understanding cybersecurity buyer needs and SMB pain points High-impact communication, pitch fundamentals, and negotiation basics How early-stage companies test, validate, and iterate on business strategy Qualifications Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field Strong communication and research skills Comfortable speaking with professionals, founders, and clients Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks Bonus: Experience with LinkedIn outreach, CRM tools, or email marketing Extra Bonus: Interest in cybersecurity, SaaS, or startup ecosystems Compensation & Rewards Internship Certificate upon successful completion Letter of Recommendation based on performance Flexible hours, remote-friendly setup Direct mentorship from founders and business leaders Opportunity to influence market strategy and early customer relationships Visibility into real BD operations, decision-making, and partnerships
