Role Objective: To work in shifts within the R&D department and ensure smooth extrusion operations as per production plans Primary Responsibilities: Produce output as per the production plan provided by the Planning Manager. Coordinate with Stores to receive raw materials, additives, and packing bags for daily consumption. Ensure product quality meets process and test parameters, achieving Right First Time (RFT). Collaborate with the plant maintenance team for preventive maintenance (PM), breakdowns (BD), and screw changeovers when required. Minimize wastage and scrap during production. Record shift-wise production, wastage generated, and material consumed. Set process parameters for each line as per SOP for the grade being produced. Performance Evaluation (KRA/KPIs): First Time Pass Scrap Generation Yield WIP Generation & Consumption Inventory Loss Separation of WIP lumps Reduction in Changeover Time 5S Compliance Internal Interaction: QC: Continuous Planner & Maintenance: Continuous Qualification: Diploma / DPET / CIPET from a reputed organization Required Exposure: Engineering Polymer Compounding Extrusion Production Process Desired Exposure: Quality Control Processes of PC/Alloys Compound Skills & Competencies: Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage manpower Ability to meet deadlines as per plan Sound knowledge of polymer compounding extrusion process controls, feeders, conveying system automation Expertise in changeover management Knowledge: Required: Kaizen, TQM, ISO documentation, process safety, audits Collaborative mindset for inter/intra departmental coordination Desired: Experience in polymer compound extrusion manufacturing industry
