Data Scientist-Unsecured Lending

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with a specialized focus on Unsecured Lending to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical techniques, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive strategic decisions, optimize lending products, manage credit risk, and enhance customer experience within our unsecured lending portfolio (e.g., personal loans, credit cards). This role requires a deep understanding of the lending lifecycle, from acquisition and underwriting to portfolio management and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and implement predictive models for credit risk assessment, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and loan default prediction in unsecured lending products.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies and product development.
• Collaborate with product managers, risk managers, and business stakeholders to define analytical problems, develop solutions, and translate complex findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Design and execute A/B tests and other experimental designs to evaluate the impact of new lending strategies, pricing models, and marketing campaigns.
• Monitor model performance, recalibrate models as necessary, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., logistic regression, gradient boosting, neural networks, time series analysis) to solve complex business problems.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and automated reporting systems to support ongoing analytical needs.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams in a clear and concise manner.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in data science and financial services.
