Job Title: Sr. Analyst - Governance & Strategy Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Analyst - Governance & Strategy to join our Governance team. This role will focus on implementing policies, processes, standards, and technologies to ensure that our data is findable, understood, trusted, managed, and usable, while supporting compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leaders to enhance our governance capabilities, particularly in metadata management, cultural awareness, and data quality processes. Location Mumbai / Bangalore/ Pune / Kolkata / Delhi / Hyderabad / Jaipur / Chennai Key Responsibilities Develop and Implement Governance Strategy: Deliver on the vision and roadmap for our governance strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Metadata Management: Support metadata management by aligning definitions, capturing data lineage, classifying data, and maintaining/updating items in the data catalog. Stakeholder Engagement: Enable governance forums and workshops to promote adherence to governance policies among relevant stakeholders. Data Quality Processes: Develop and implement Data Quality processes to proactively resolve issues. Data Access Controls: Support data access controls for Global Products. Collaboration: Work with the governance team to continuously drive the strategy. Stakeholder Communication: Understand data opportunities from customers, users, and business leads. Value Delivery: Support sustainable delivery of customer value on the agreed governance roadmap. KPI Development and Reporting: Track and report on specific and measurable aligned KPIs and key results, developing metrics to measure maturity and Data Quality. Risk Management: Proactively identify and escalate risks and mitigation plans to relevant stakeholders. Collaborative Environment You will work closely with: Client Global Data teams (Data PP, Data Governance CoE, Master Data Mgmt., Enterprise Data Modelling, and Product development teams). Client business intelligence and analytics, operations, and technical teams. Client Leadership and the Governance network (Data Owners, Stewards, and Governance Directors). Skills and Qualifications Ideal Candidate Profile: Identifies main gaps and opportunities within data management, harmonizing definitions and data flows across functions and geographies. Supports activities related to governance strategy, including Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Architecture, and informing Product development priorities. Develops analytics, frameworks, and KPIs to enhance Data Quality Issue management, Data Security, Data Profiling, and Governance maturity. Ensures adherence to relevant data policies, standards, and guidelines, maintaining relevant Governance artefacts. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or higher degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields. Experience in data-related or project roles (e.g., Data Management, Data Governance, CDO Office, or BI & Analytics team). Knowledge of data quality tools, databases, data warehousing, and data analysis techniques. Familiarity with SQL, Snowflake, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for solving business-oriented data challenges. Understanding of Governance industry best practices (e.g., DAMA’s DMBoK & CDMP, EDM Council’s DCAM). Hands-on experience with Governance tools such as Data Catalogs (e.g., Talend Data Catalog) and Data Quality Tools. Solid understanding of data technologies (e.g., Snowflake) and core systems is beneficial."
