Operators will be required to work in XML, HTML, Epub and Digitization work on contemporary and archival books, magazine and newspapers.Responsibilities: Data Entry: Accurately input text, images, and metadata into digital formats, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Digitization: Scan and convert physical materials (books, magazines, newspapers) into digital formats, using specialized software and hardware. Quality Control: Review digitized content for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards. Formatting: Apply appropriate formatting styles and templates to ensure consistent presentation of digital content. Metadata Management: Create and manage metadata (descriptive information) associated with digital content, including titles, authors, publication dates, and keywords. XML/HTML/EPUB: Work with XML, HTML, and EPUB formats, understanding their structure and syntax. Software Proficiency: Utilize various software tools for digitization, editing, and formatting, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Oxygen XML Editor. Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to digitization and data processing. Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective digitization processes.
