Job Summary**
LPL Financial is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure, enabling efficient data flow and accessibility for critical business operations and analytics. Job Responsibilities**

Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into system of record(SOR)
Build and maintain data pipelines using a variety of technologies (e.g., Python, SQL, cloud-native services like AWS Glue, Step Functions,Lamda,Kafka etc).
Collaborate with software enginners, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
Optimize database performance and ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data availability and integrity.
Participate in the design and architecture of data platforms, including data warehousing, data lake, and streaming solutions.
Document data models, data flows, and technical specifications.
Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices.

Job Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, RDS).
Strong working Experience with AWS ecosystems and its data-related services.
Proficiency in a programming language commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse).
Familiarity with data lake concepts and technologies (e.g., S3, iceberg).
Understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working with AI tools including co-pilot, claude code is highly preferred.
Financial services industry experience is a plus.
