Power Apps / Power Automate Trainer
Summary of the Role: We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Power Apps / Power Automate Trainer to design and deliver hands-on training programs for diverse audiences. This role plays a vital part in our digital transformation initiatives, helping users across departments leverage the Microsoft Power Platform to solve business challenges, automate workflows, and build custom apps. Success in this position means enabling learners—from business users to IT professionals—to confidently build and manage solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate. This role fits into our broader strategy of enabling a citizen development culture, improving process efficiency, and reducing reliance on custom development. Responsibilities: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs covering Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps) and Power Automate (cloud and desktop flows). Develop and update training materials including user guides, hands-on exercises, presentations, and video tutorials. Conduct live, virtual, and recorded sessions tailored to different levels of expertise (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Customize training content to align with the organization’s real-world use cases and business needs. Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and adoption metrics, and continuously improve course content. Provide ongoing support and mentorship through Q&A sessions, follow-up workshops, and community engagement. Collaborate with business units, IT, and leadership to promote best practices, governance, and responsible usage of Power Platform tools. Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates, features, and roadmap announcements to ensure training remains relevant. Qualifications: Experience: 2 to 10 years of experience delivering training or working directly with Power Apps and Power Automate solutions. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and basic Power BI integrations. Strong knowledge of data connectors, Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and other common integrations. Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional design skills. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical users. Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to demonstrate practical business scenarios.
