Job Profile: Production & Planning Engineer The Production & Planning Engineer is responsible for coordinating manufacturing activities, optimizing production schedules, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. This role bridges the gap between design, procurement, and shop-floor execution to meet delivery timelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and inventory levels. Monitor progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments. Process Optimization Analyze workflow and implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughput. Material & Resource Management Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Track machine and manpower utilization to optimize resource allocation. Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to quality standards and production protocols. Support audits and implement corrective actions for non-conformities. ERP & Documentation Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP). Prepare production reports, downtime logs, and performance metrics. Coordination & Communication Liaise with design, maintenance, and quality teams for smooth production flow.
