Job Description: Customer Onboarding Executive
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and customer-focused Customer Onboarding Executive to help schools get started with Manage Academy, our school management software.
You will connect with schools that have registered on our platform, understand their requirements, guide them through the initial setup, and help them start using the product successfully.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, explaining things patiently, solving basic problems, and building positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact newly registered schools through phone, WhatsApp, and video calls.
- Understand customer requirements and identify why they may not have completed registration or setup.
- Guide school administrators through account setup and onboarding.
- Conduct basic product demonstrations and walkthroughs.
- Follow up with schools until they complete key onboarding steps.
- Help customers understand important features such as student management, classes, attendance, and fee management.
- Identify basic technical issues and coordinate with the development or support team for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups, onboarding progress, and customer concerns.
- Collect customer feedback and share suggestions with the internal team.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and introduce relevant features or plans when appropriate.
- Prepare regular reports on customer onboarding progress and pending follow-ups.
Requirements
- 6 months–1 year of experience in customer support, customer service, telesales, inside sales, or software onboarding.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with customers over phone and WhatsApp.
- Proficiency in Hindi and English; Telugu communication skills are an advantage.
- Patient and confident when explaining software to non-technical users.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with web applications, email, and office tools.
- Good follow-up, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn the product and work closely with different teams.
- Ability to work from the office in Hyderabad.
Good to Have
- Experience with SaaS, EdTech, CRM, or school management software.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations or customer onboarding calls.
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience handling customer queries and maintaining follow-up records.
How Success Will Be Measured
- Number of registered schools successfully contacted.
- Percentage of schools completing onboarding.
- Number of schools completing key setup steps, including academic year configuration, class creation, and student addition.
- Quality and consistency of customer follow-ups.
- Timely identification and escalation of customer issues.
- Customer feedback and satisfaction.
