Company Description Cropsphere is building India’s first climate-intelligent agriculture ecosystem , integrating land activation, regenerative farming, soil-health intelligence, and climate-verified supply chains. Our ecosystem consists of four layers: HarvestHQ — Agri + Climate OS for soil, crop, land & supply intelligence (IoT, AI, computer vision, satellite, disease prediction). O-Points — our regeneration & climate scoring engine that evaluates soil, carbon, biodiversity, water retention, and resilience. Marketplace — demand engine for verified horticulture & regenerative produce. Living Hubs — offline experience layer for consumer trust, farmer advisory & fresh produce retail. We are headquartered in Coimbatore and currently in pre-seed, pre-product stage, actively building our core founding team. Cropsphere’s long-term vision: Build the operating system that powers India’s climate-resilient agriculture for the next 25 years. Role: Co-Founder & Head of Engineering As the Co-Founder & Head of Engineering, you will lead all technical development across the ecosystem. You will build the first working prototype , define the long-term engineering architecture, and assemble the foundational tech stack that powers HarvestHQ and O-Points. You will work directly with the Founder on: Designing the complete product architecture (IoT + AI + mobile + cloud + data). Building Version 0.1 of the HarvestHQ engine. Instrumentation for soil, crop, disease & land measurements. Integrating satellite + IoT + field-level data sources. Developing the early scoring model of O-Points. Setting the engineering culture, standards & documentation. Hiring the initial engineering team as we scale post-funding. Ensuring the platform is scalable, modular, secure & future-proof. This is a true co-founder role — you will influence every technical decision and shape the foundation of the company. Qualifications: We are looking for someone who is: Technical Background: Strong experience in full-stack development (backend + mobile/web). Hands-on experience with: Python / NodeJS Cloud architecture (AWS/GCP) Data pipelines & APIs Exposure to AI/ML , computer vision or sensor-data processing. Experience building IoT systems , hardware integrations or real-time data systems is a huge plus. Mindset & Leadership: Builder mentality — enjoys prototypes, 0→1, scrappy execution. Systems thinker — capable of designing scalable, modular architecture. Founder mindset — ownership, resilience, long-term commitment. Ability to lead engineering decisions from first principles. Bonus - Not Mandatory : Experience in agritech, climate tech, or sustainability. Experience with GIS, satellite imaging, or agronomy data. Prior startup experience. Compensation: This role is equity-only at the start , as we are in pre-funding stage. Once the funding is closed, this role will convert into a co-founder salary + ESOP expansion + leadership benefits . You will own a significant part of the company and build the entire technological backbone of Cropsphere.
