Core Skills You Need Graphic Design Expertise Strong command over layout, colour, typography and brand consistency. Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro for end-to-end creative output. Basic HTML Comfort editing webpages, landing pages and newsletters. PowerPoint Wizardry Turning slides into compelling visual narratives. Basic Photography Understanding of framing, lighting and capturing candid moments. Basic Video Editing Smooth cuts, transitions and short edits for corporate and social content. Additional Skills That Will Make You Stand Out Figma / Canva Familiarity For quick, collaborative design work. Understanding of Social Media Content Formats Knowing what works where, and why. Basic Animation / Motion Graphics Even simple GIFs and motion titles add value. Good Copy Sense Ability to pair visuals with clean, effective messaging.
