About the role
We’re looking for a Creative Designer to own the ad creatives for Varanchi and ila. Our creative team sets the direction; you turn it into a steady flow of fresh, varied, high-performing creatives every week, from idea to delivery. Your weekly creative output and how your creatives perform are the main measures of this role. You will also support our other brands with design work.

What you’ll do

Performance ad creatives for Varanchi and ila (primary)

• Design high-converting ad creatives for Meta Ads in static and carousel, including the headlines and text on each creative.
• Break down each creative brief with a clear understanding of the brand, the product and the fashion category.
• Explore different concepts, hooks, layouts and styles for every product, so the ads team always has new creatives to test.
• Keep every creative on-brand while designing for performance: scroll-stopping, clear and built to sell.
• Review ad performance with the ads team and design new variations of winning ads.
• Design Instagram posts and stories, website banners, posters and festive campaign creatives.
• Edit and retouch product and model photos from our in-house shoots.
• Use AI tools for image generation, concept ideas and faster iterations.

Other brands

• Guitarhead: book cover and paperback design, Amazon A+ content and branding.
• Backedby: WordPress page updates, content changes, banners and images.

Must have

• 2+ years of experience designing performance marketing creatives or digital ads, with a strong portfolio of ad and social media work.
• Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Able to produce many varied creatives quickly without dropping quality.
• Strong eye for layout, typography, colour and product presentation.
• Comfortable using AI tools for image creation and creative ideas.
• Able to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
• Open to creative direction and fast feedback cycles.

Nice to have

• Fashion, lifestyle or D2C brand experience.
• Short-form video editing for reels and video ads; video and motion skills in Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
• Photo editing in Lightroom.
• Experience with Shopify themes and sections, or WordPress.
• Book cover, print or Amazon A+ content design, or Kindle Create.
• Working knowledge of InDesign.
