Description
As a CPU Power Management FW Developer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be part of a team focusing on enabling power management solutions for Qualcomm's Oryon CPUs. Your responsibilities will include collaborating internally to define and implement embedded firmware for managing power and performance in the CPU subsystem of Qualcomm SoCs across various verticals. You will contribute to the development of management controller firmware covering power management, boot, RAS, debug, security, and runtime services. This role involves working closely with hardware power management and firmware development teams, engaging with third parties for new platform enablement, and providing input to SoC and platform architects for future designs. In this position, you will drive the firmware development lifecycle from design to verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. You will develop a core firmware stack using an RTOS to support algorithms for power management controllers. Additionally, you will help define Power Management solutions for future Qualcomm CPUs, collaborate with open-source communities, and participate in silicon and platform bring-up, debug, and diagnostics. Moreover, you will assist in identifying skills requirements and hiring engineers for the team. Qualifications for this role include a BS/MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with at least 17 years of experience in embedded firmware development. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in team management and technical expertise, particularly in DVFS, DCVS, SCMI, and CPPC. Proficiency in writing and debugging C and assembly, driver development in RTOS or OS Kernel environments, and experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS, or FreeRTOS are preferred. Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture and development experience for an ARMv8 platform is a plus.
