CPU Micro-architect/RTL Designer - Principal Engineer

Role Overview: As a CPU Micro-architecture and RTL Design Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be instrumental in the development of high-performance, low-power devices. Your main responsibilities will involve: Key Responsibilities: - Collaborating with the CPU modeling team to explore high-performance strategies for performance exploration. - Engaging in early high-level architectural exploration, microarchitectural research, and detailed specification for microarchitecture development and specification. - Developing, assessing, and refining RTL design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals for RTL ownership. - Assisting the design verification team in executing the functional verification strategy for functional verification support. - Verifying that the RTL design aligns with performance goals for performance verification support. - Working with a multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design aspects such as timing, area, reliability, and testability for design delivery. Qualifications Required: - Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture, including expertise in areas such as instruction fetch, branch prediction, and cache subsystems. - Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL, experience with simulators, and waveform debugging tools. - Understanding of logic design principles, timing, and power implications. - Familiarity with low-power microarchitecture techniques and high-performance strategies. - Experience with scripting languages like Perl or Python.
