Costing & MIS Analyst (SAP B1)

Job Purpose

The Costing & MIS Analyst will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and presenting financial and operational data from SAP Business One (SAP B1). They will be the bridge between raw system data and strategic management decisions.

The candidate must possess a unique blend of accounting knowledge, manufacturing cost understanding, and technical SAP B1 skills (specifically Query Manager, Crystal Reports, and Excel integration) to build automated dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

A. Costing & Profitability Analysis

Project/Product Costing: Calculate the actual cost of manufactured goods and projects by extracting data from SAP B1 (Material Costs + Labor + Overheads).

Cost Variance Analysis: Compare the standard cost (as per BOM) vs. actual production cost in SAP B1 to identify material wastage, scrap, or labor inefficiencies.

Gross Margin Analysis: Prepare margin analysis by product, customer, and project (especially Zen vs. Non-Zen projects).

WIP Valuation: Assist in the valuation of Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods at the end of every month based on SAP B1 production data.

B. Management Information Systems (MIS) & Reporting

• Report Creation: Design and build automated MIS reports and dashboards using SAP B1 Query Manager and Crystal Reports.
• Custom Queries: Write SQL queries within SAP B1 to extract specific data as requested by management (e.g., Ageing of vendors, Slow-moving inventory, Project-wise expense tracking).
• Monthly MIS: Compile the monthly Management Information System (MIS) report covering Revenue, Expense, Cash Flow, and Profitability for the CFO/Board.
• Budget vs. Actuals: Track actual expenses against the budget in SAP B1 and report variances to department heads.

C. Data Integrity & Automation

• Data Extraction: Extract large volumes of data from SAP B1 into Excel for complex analysis using Pivot Tables and advanced formulas.
• Process Automation: Automate recurring reports (e.g., MSME ageing, GRN pending, Sales MIS) to save time and reduce manual errors.
• Excel Dashboards: Link Excel with SAP B1 data dumps to create real-time or near-real-time dashboards for management.

D. Audit & Compliance Support

• Audit Schedules: Prepare costing and inventory schedules required by statutory and cost auditors directly from SAP B1.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile financial accounts (COGS, WIP, Finished Goods) with operational data from the warehouse module.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
