As an Automated Tester joining our Quality Assurance (QA) team, you will need to leverage your extensive experience in automated testing, workload management, and implementing best practices. Your role will require a Day 0 productive mindset to immediately contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability. You will need to execute and analyze results from automated tests, report issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them. Implementing and enforcing QA best practices and methodologies across the team will be crucial, along with managing workload and prioritizing testing efforts to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand application workflows and ensure comprehensive test coverage will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining regression test suites to ensure stability across application updates and monitoring key testing metrics to evaluate product quality and testing effectiveness. Staying updated with the latest testing tools and technologies and recommending their adoption where appropriate will also be expected. In terms of technical skills, proficiency in automated testing tools like Tosca is essential. Knowledge of other tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar open source and commercial tools will be advantageous. Strong scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java for developing test automation scripts are required. Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, Karate, Tosca, or RestAssured is necessary, as well as familiarity with performance testing tools and testing frameworks. You should also have experience with CI/CD tools for integrating automated tests, knowledge of version control systems like Git, and an understanding of containerized environments. Strong documentation skills using Markdown or Asciidoc will be crucial. Functional skills needed include the ability to interpret complex business requirements, experience in creating end-to-end business scenarios within financial applications, and familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards impacting testing strategies. Soft skills such as problem-solving, analytical skills, strong communication skills, proactive problem identification, and multitasking abilities are essential. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least 3-5 years of experience in automated testing roles. Preferred skills include experience with hybrid and cloud-based testing environments, mobile application testing, exposure to compliance standards in the financial industry, and certifications in QA credentials like ISTQB.,
