About the Role: We're on the hunt for a performance-driven copywriter/scriptwriter who can ideate, write, and optimize scroll-stopping ad scripts and captions for D2C brands across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube This is not just a storytelling role — it’s for someone who deeply understands the ad funnel , can collaborate cross-functionally with video editors and performance marketers, and knows how to make creative decisions based on data like CTR, CPM, and CVR . Key Responsibilities: 1 Scripting & Storytelling Write high-converting scripts for TOF, MOF, and BOF campaigns. Bring brand stories to life in under 15 seconds — from UGC hooks to testimonial formats to bold CTA closes. Write scroll-stopping captions and direct response CTAs tailored for each platform. 2 Funnel Strategy & Ad Targeting Tailor your copy and hooks for different stages of the funnel. Collaborate with media buyers and performance marketers to sync your messaging with targeting strategies. 3 Creative Research & Concept Development Research competitors and winning ad angles using tools like the Meta Ad Library, or YouTube Ads. Pitch new creative directions weekly based on trends and performance data . 4 Performance Tracking & Optimization Work with the performance team to understand ad metrics like CTR, CPM, CPC, ROAS . Use insights to revise copy , optimize hooks, or shift angles week-over-week. Identify which scripts/ad formats work best and why. 5 Collaboration with Editors & Creators Collaborate with video editors to ensure copy aligns with pacing, visuals, and platform best practices. Brief and review UGC creators to ensure alignment with your scripts and hooks. Who You Are: 1-3 years of experience writing ad copy or scripts for D2C, eCommerce, or agency brands . Strong grasp of TOF/MOF/BOF funnels and how messaging should evolve across them. Experience writing for Instagram Reels, Facebook Ads, YouTube Shorts , . Comfortable analyzing CTR, CPM, CPC , and drawing creative conclusions. Proficient in English – both written and verbal – with an eye for short-form storytelling . Experience writing in different brand tones for beauty, wellness, fashion, or lifestyle is a big plus. Bonus: Experience creating UGC content yourself (camera-facing or editing scripts into content). What We’re Looking to Learn from You: (You’ll discuss these during the hiring process) Your past work with performance or UGC-style content . Understanding of ad funnels and how you write differently for each stage. How you research creative hooks and angles that actually convert . Your process for collaborating with editors, creators, and media buyers . How you interpret metrics like CTR, CPM, impressions — and use them to improve scripts. Examples of content you’ve written or created , and what made it work.
