Oversee complex transactions and reconciliations, providing expertise in resolving discrepancies and supporting the broader accounting team in maintaining high-quality financial records. Independently handle the reconciliation and verification of monthly transactions and balances, including month-end journal entries, while mentoring junior staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP, and act as the primary point of contact for complex accounting matters, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and transparent. Take the lead on preparing detailed management reports, analyzing actual results versus budgeted figures, and providing senior leadership with strategic insights regarding financial performance and identifying potential financial risks or opportunities. Provide expert support during the integration of new projects into the accounting platform, ensuring that accounting entries are processed accurately and that the accounting team is aligned with new financial systems and tools. Support the audit and tax process at a senior level, preparing complex schedules and responding to auditor and tax queries, offering insights and resolving issues promptly to ensure smooth and timely completion of audits and tax filings. Offer support and mentorship to junior accountants, encouraging a collaborative and efficient team atmosphere. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero, and NetSuite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients on a daily basis and prepare clear, concise financial reports for senior management.
