Job Title: Senior Engineer - EV & Charger Technologies Location: Bengaluru Job Type: [Full-time/Contract] About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to lead the development, integration, and testing of Electric Vehicle (EV) systems and EV charging solutions. This role involves driving innovative projects in the fast-growing EV and charging infrastructure domain, ensuring our offerings meet industry standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and validation of electric vehicle systems, and charging hardware/software. Develop and optimize EV charging systems, including AC/DC chargers, fast chargers, and wireless charging solutions. Conduct system simulations, performance analysis, and fault diagnosis to ensure product reliability and efficiency. Oversee prototype assembly, testing, and field validation activities, ensuring compliance with relevant international safety and quality standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61851, UL standards, etc.). Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality, to deliver integrated EV and charging solutions. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulations in EV and charging infrastructure sectors, implementing best practices. Troubleshoot technical challenges during design, testing, and field deployment, providing innovative solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of designs, test procedures, and validation reports. Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external suppliers and partners for component procurement and testing. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. 4+ years of experience in EV technology development, battery systems, power electronics, or EV charging infrastructure. Strong knowledge of EV architectures, charging standards (IEC 61851, CCS, CHAdeMO, etc.), and safety requirements. Proficiency with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or similar; experience with embedded systems programming preferred. Familiarity with test equipment, diagnostic tools, and validation methodologies for EV and charger systems. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a multidisciplinary environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fast charging solutions, wireless charging, or high-power electronics. Knowledge of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, UL 1998). Past involvement in commercial EV/EV charger projects, prototypes, or pilot deployments. The Sales and Service Engineer will be responsible for daily tasks including providing technical support, troubleshooting, field service, maintenance, and repair of equipment. The role will also involve communicating with clients to ensure their needs are met efficiently.
