Our mission is to empower companies with smart, affordable, and automated HR solutions. Role Overview As a Finance Manager Intern, you will oversee financial planning, budgeting, cost optimization, and revenue analysis for CommuSync HRaaS. You will work directly with the founder and leadership team to ensure financial sustainability, maintain transparent accounts, and develop funding strategies. This role is ideal for candidates who want hands-on startup finance experience and an opportunity to grow into a finance head or CFO role after successful performance. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Planning & Budgeting Develop and maintain short-term and long-term financial plans aligned with company goals. Assist in creating and monitoring budgets for different departments and teams. Track actual vs. projected expenses, providing variance reports. 2. Cash Flow & Accounting Maintain basic records of income, expenditure, and outstanding balances. Prepare weekly/monthly financial summaries for management. Support in managing Google Sheets or accounting tools (like Zoho Books / QuickBooks Free Tier). 3. Funding & Revenue Strategy Identify possible funding/grant opportunities and prepare investor-friendly reports. Work with the Business Development team to forecast and track revenue flow. Analyze ROI on marketing, hiring, and partnership expenses. 4. Financial Reporting Create balance sheets, P&L statements, and financial forecasts. Maintain transparency with all stakeholders through periodic reporting. Assist in preparing documents for future audits or investment pitches. 5. Cost Optimization Evaluate all company spending and propose cost-cutting measures. Work closely with the founder to ensure every expenditure aligns with company priorities. 6. Compliance (Basic Level) Research tax obligations, startup compliances, and government registration benefits (MSME, Startup India, etc.). Coordinate with external CA/financial advisors if required. Learning Opportunities Direct mentorship from the founder and leadership team. Exposure to startup finance, budgeting, and investment strategy. Opportunity to lead the finance division post-internship. Hands-on experience in financial modeling and SaaS metrics (MRR, CAC, LTV, etc.). Required Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling. Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with SaaS finance (preferred but not mandatory). Eligibility MBA / CA (Inter) / Economics / Finance background preferred.
