About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in PHP, WordPress, and Shopify to join our team from Kolkata . You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing high-performing web applications and ecommerce experiences. You should be comfortable working across multiple platforms, picking up new tools quickly, and using AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to speed up development, debugging, and documentation. Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and maintain backend features using PHP (modern practices, OOP, MVC). Build, customize, and optimize WordPress themes and plugins (including custom post types, hooks, filters, REST API). Develop and customize Shopify stores (Liquid, theme customization, app integrations). Integrate third-party APIs and services (payment gateways, marketing tools, CRM, etc.). Write clean, secure, scalable, and well-documented code. Use AI tools to: Speed up coding and refactoring Generate boilerplate code and tests Assist in debugging and research Collaborate with frontend devs, designers, and product managers to deliver complete features. Optimize performance, security, and reliability across platforms. Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
