Job Title: CNC Setter cum Programmer Location: Chennaiv,irungatukotai. Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: 3–8 years Salary: 20k to 38k Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Setter cum Programmer to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up CNC machines, creating and optimizing programs, and ensuring the production of high-quality components. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machines (Lathe, Milling, VMC, etc.) as per job requirements. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software. Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters. Perform first-off inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, etc.). Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain part quality. Maintain records of setups, tool usage, and program changes. Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams for continuous improvement. Requirements: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in CNC machine setting and programming. Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens, FANUC, etc.). Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tool selection. Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet production deadlines. Knowledge of safety practices and quality control procedures. Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-axis machining. Familiarity with CNC turning and milling centers. Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Basic knowledge of CAD software.
