Senior Hardware Design Engineer navi mumbai, maharashtra, india 5 years None Not disclosed Remote Full Time

🚀 Senior Electronics Hardware Designer | Power & UAV Systems Location: Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra [The role will start as remote, and proceed to on site in next few months.] Type: Full-Time Experience: 5+ Years Preferred The Mission We are building the next generation of Cloudtronics's autonomous platforms. We need a hardware expert who lives at the intersection of high-current power electronics and precision micro-electronics. You won’t just be designing boards; you’ll be defining the power architecture that keeps our systems in the air longer and safer. The Role As our Electronics Hardware Designer, you will design the full lifecycle of critical drone components including High-Performance ESCs, Smart BMS, and High-Density Power Modules. You’ll solve the "impossible" puzzles of fitting 100A+ of current into compact, heat-sensitive footprints. Key Responsibilities High-Power PCB Design: Architect and layout multi-layer boards capable of sustained high-current delivery (50A–200A+). MCU Implementation: Design circuits around 32-bit ARM Cortex-M cores (STM32/TI) for real-time motor control and telemetry. Power Integrity: Optimize MOSFET switching, gate drivers, and shunt-based current sensing for maximum efficiency and minimum noise. Smart Battery Systems: Develop BMS hardware with cell balancing, state-of-charge (SoC) accuracy, and redundant protection circuits. Thermal Engineering: Design advanced cooling strategies for power stages in weight-constrained environments. What You Bring Expert EDA Skills: Mastery of Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD (Rigid, Rigid-Flex, and High-Copper weights). High-Current Fluency: Deep knowledge of power MOSFET selection, R_ds(on) optimization, and parasitic inductance mitigation. UAV Domain Knowledge: Practical experience with BLDC/FOC motor control and drone communication (CAN-bus, UAVCAN, MAVLink). Lab Proficiency: You are a "hands-on" engineer. You’re comfortable with high-speed scopes, logic analyzers, and thermal imaging to debug complex hardware. EMI/EMC Awareness: Experience designing for low noise to ensure clean GPS and RF performance. Bonus Points for: Experience with GaN (Gallium Nitride) or SiC power stages. Background in Aerospace or Automotive hardware reliability standards. Ability to write basic C/C++ for hardware validation and peripheral testing. How to Apply Please send your resume and a brief portfolio (photos or PDFs of past PCB layouts/projects) to ajay.bade@cloudtronics.co.in. We are particularly interested in seeing examples of power electronics you have taken from schematic to production.
