Cloud Platform Engineer

We are hiring Cloud Platform Engineers to build and operate our internal developer platform (IDP) and shared cloud runtime services across GCP and AWS. You will build the automation and self-service capabilities our application teams consume and help run them in production as we bring managed services in-house.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / WHAT YOU WILL DO

•

Set and apply standards for deploying and running infrastructure and applications across our hybrid environment (GCP, AWS).

•

Build reusable Terraform modules and self-service pipelines, including migrating existing resources into Terraform Cloud.

•

Extend Kubernetes to new use cases across our platforms as part of the cloud-first transformation.

•

Own the automated lifecycle of enterprise standard compute and container images and drive workloads onto approved images.

•

Help standardize IAM roles, policies, and access controls across users, applications, and automation.

•

Enforce standards for source control, testing, and CI across infrastructure, images, pipelines, and configuration.

•

Operate what you build — define monitoring requirements, take on-call, respond to incidents, run root cause analysis, and validate changes before release.

•

Work with development teams and product owners to prioritize the enhancements that let the business scale.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

•

Platform / IDP: Kubernetes at scale (GKE/EKS), image and container lifecycle, Terraform module design, developer self-service.

•

CI/CD: Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab; artifact management and release safety.

•

Configuration management: Ansible or SaltStack.

•

Cloud operations: patching, backup, tagging, capacity, change, incident, and problem management.

•

Apigee: infrastructure resiliency, proxy and environment deployments.

•

Networking: DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid connectivity.

•

Security and identity: IAM design, secrets and certificate management, policy as code.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•

5 years’ experience with SRE or Cloud Engineering, developing/supporting complex cloud ecosystems (AWS and GCP).

•

5 years leading the design, implementation, and delivery of technology solutions from concept through production, with a focus on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency

•

3+ years hands-on infrastructure as code; Terraform Cloud, including remote state, workspaces, policy enforcement, and migrating existing resources under managed state.

•

3+ years Harness or a comparable CD platform, including deployment pipelines, approvals, and rollback.

•

3+ years Artifactory or a comparable artifact repository, including repos, promotion, retention, and image and package publishing.

•

3+ years automation and scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, or equivalent.

•

Troubleshooting across applications, networking, and systems, including production root cause analysis.

•

Clear written and verbal communication with peers and leadership across geographies.

•

Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

NICE TO HAVE

•

GCP and/or AWS certification.

•

Generative AI tooling or AI-enabled platform services.

•

Experience supporting multi-cloud environments.
