Cloud Cost Optimization Analyst

As a Cloud FinOps Analyst at one of the largest global technology leaders, your role will involve managing and optimizing public cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud costs using native tools and dashboards across AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Identify key cost drivers, anomalies, and optimization opportunities through data-driven analysis. - Develop and implement cloud cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing, reserved instance planning, and efficient architecture recommendations. - Collaborate with engineering teams to drive cost-effective deployment and infrastructure management. - Assist in cloud budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with finance and procurement stakeholders. - Create and maintain allocation models for project-level and departmental cost transparency. - Promote FinOps best practices across engineering, finance, and product teams. - Automate cost tracking, alerting, and reporting wherever feasible. - Evaluate, implement, and manage FinOps tools to enhance cost visibility and governance. - Contribute to establishing cloud cost policies and enforce compliance with industry best practices. - Stay informed on the latest cloud pricing models, FinOps methodologies, and service offerings from major cloud providers. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud cost optimization, or cloud engineering. - Proficiency in cloud cost management tools across AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in data visualization (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI). - Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and billing structures. - Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation are desirable. - Relevant cloud certifications are a plus. - Experience in Agile environments is preferred.,
