Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer — Servers, Virtualization & Cloud Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Employment Type: Full-time About Citynet Citynet Networks delivers reliable enterprise connectivity and infrastructure services across ME. We’re growing our delivery team to run rollouts, migrations and datacenter/cloud implementations for our customers. The role (brief) You’ll own server, virtualization and cloud delivery for Citynet projects. Day-to-day you’ll design and build VMware/Hyper-V/KVM environments, manage Linux & Windows servers, integrate storage and backups, and work closely with our networking team to deliver secure, highly available solutions. This is a project-facing role: expect planning, cut overs, site visits and knowledge transfer to operations. Key responsibilities Design, deploy and operate virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere preferred) and server infrastructure. Provision VMs, templates, HA/DR, resource management and performance tuning. Administer Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server (AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO). Integrate with SAN/NAS (iSCSI/FC), configure multipathing and tune storage performance. Implement backup & DR (eg. Veeam), test restores and run DR exercises. Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for hybrid solutions and migrations. Automate repeatable tasks (Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Terraform). Collaborate with networking engineers: VLANs, routing, firewall/VPNs for project work. Produce runbooks, cutover plans, and handover documentation to NOC. Must-have 4+ years hands-on experience with servers + virtualization (VMware vSphere strongly preferred). Strong Linux and Windows Server administration. Practical cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid connectivity knowledge. Good networking fundamentals (VLANs, OSPF/BGP basics, firewall/VPN). Automation skills: Ansible or scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell). Project delivery experience: cutovers, rollback planning, runbooks. Comfortable with occasional travel / on-call for cutovers. Nice-to-have Veeam or enterprise backup experience, VMware VCP, RHCE, CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure certs. Experience with containers (Kubernetes), SD-WAN, or NSX/VXLAN.
