Job Summary: We are seeking a highly creative and talented Graphic Designer with a proven passion for cinema and a specialized skillset in movie poster design. The ideal candidate will be a conceptual thinker with exceptional drawing abilities, capable of translating film narratives and themes into compelling and iconic visual key art. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualization & Design: Develop innovative and impactful movie poster concepts from initial briefs, scripts, and discussions with the creative team. Translate abstract ideas and narrative elements into powerful visual metaphors. Illustration & Drawing: Utilize strong traditional and/or digital drawing skills to create original artwork, character illustrations, scene compositions, and other visual elements for posters. Key Art Creation: Design and produce high-resolution movie posters, ensuring they are visually striking, effectively convey the film's genre and tone, and stand out in a competitive market. Branding & Consistency: Maintain consistent visual branding across all movie-related marketing materials, ensuring posters align with trailers, social media campaigns, and other promotional assets. Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand the film's vision and incorporate feedback effectively. Typography & Layout: Demonstrate expert knowledge of typography, color theory, and composition to create balanced and visually appealing designs. Image Manipulation: Proficiently use image manipulation software to combine photographic elements, illustrations, and textures seamlessly. Market Research: Stay updated on current trends in movie poster design, visual communication, and the entertainment industry. Print & Digital Ready: Prepare final artwork for various platforms, including print (theatrical posters, billboards) and digital (social media, streaming platforms). Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a significant body of work in movie poster design and key art . Drawing Proficiency: Exceptional drawing and illustration skills are mandatory. Please provide examples of your drawing capabilities in your portfolio. Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Knowledge of other relevant design software is a plus.
