Job Purpose: To provide clinical and supportive nursing care to patients undergoing infertility treatment (IUI, IVF, embryo transfer, etc.), assist medical/embryology staff in procedures, ensure safety and comfort of patients, maintain records, and uphold high standards of care and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Patient Assessment & Care Receive patients and perform initial health assessment: vitals, medical & reproductive history. Prepare patients for procedures (IUI, controlled ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, ultrasound scans etc.) Monitor patients post-procedure for recovery, manage adverse reactions. Medication & Treatment Management Administer medications (including hormone injections, stimulants etc.) per IVF protocols. Educate patients on self-administration, medication timing, side effects. Monitor and report any complications (e.g., OHSS, bleeding etc.). Assisting in Procedures Assist doctors/embryologists in IVF lab or procedure rooms: egg retrieval, embryo transfer, ultrasound guidance. Prepare procedure rooms: ensure sterile instruments, equipment, materials ready. Provide on‐table and post‐procedure support to the patient. Counselling & Communication Explain procedures, treatment plans, expected outcomes, risks to patients & their partners. Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients through their fertility journey. Liaise between patients, doctors, embryologists and other allied staff to ensure clear communication. Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date patient records: treatment cycles, medications, vitals, outcomes. Ensure consent forms, PCPNDT or other regulatory forms, lab reports etc. are properly filled and filed. Maintain logs of consumables, injections, drug stocks. Quality Control, Safety & Compliance Follow infection control protocols; maintain sterilization standards in procedure and lab areas. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (PCPNDT, Biosafety, Quality Standards). Participate in audits and continuous quality improvement activities. Ward / OPD / Scan Room Responsibilities Assist in scan room: preparing patients, assisting with ultrasound procedures, positioning patients. Injection room: manage injection schedules, cold chain if required, stock of medications. OPD/Ward: patient admission, discharge processes, rounds, patient comfort and hygiene. Teamwork & Training Work collaboratively with IVF physicians, embryologists, counsellors, lab staff. May supervise or mentor junior nurses or support staff. Participate in training sessions to stay updated with IVF techniques/protocols. Skills / Competencies: Strong knowledge of IVF treatment cycle, protocols, terminology. Competence in injecting hormone therapies, monitoring vitals etc. Good interpersonal & communication skills; sensitive manner with patients undergoing emotional stress. Attention to detail; strong organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and in time‐sensitive situations (e.g., timed procedures). Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma (GNM) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized institution. State nursing registration/license. Preferably 2–6 years’ experience in IVF/ fertility clinic or relevant clinical/obstetrics/gynecology setting . Evidence of prior work in procedure rooms, scan rooms is a plus. Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred.
