Chartered Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (Fresher) to join our Finance & Accounts department. The candidate will gain exposure to corporate finance, financial reporting, accounting operations, taxation, trade finance and business finance management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

•Assist in preparation and finalisation of financial statements, Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss Accounts.

•Perform ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation and intercompany reconciliations.

•Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.

•Prepare MIS reports and management financial statements.

•Analyse financial data and identify discrepancies.

2. Import & Trade Finance Operations

•Assist in accounting of import transactions and foreign currency payments.

•Support documentation and accounting related to Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees and other trade finance instruments.

•Assist in reconciliation of overseas supplier accounts.

•Monitor import-related expenses, including freight, customs duty, port charges and other associated costs.

•Assist in tracking foreign exchange fluctuations and their accounting impact.

3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

•Assist in GST returns, reconciliations and Input Tax Credit (ITC) verification.

•Support TDS computation, returns and related compliance.

•Assist in Income Tax assessments, tax audits and statutory requirements.

•Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable tax regulations.

4. Audit & Internal Financial Controls

•Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.

•Assist in preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.

•Review accounting entries and supporting documents.

•Assist in strengthening internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

5. Business Finance & Analysis

•Assist in monitoring working capital, cash flow and fund utilisation.

•Analyse vendor payments, customer receivables and outstanding balances.

•Support budgeting, cost analysis and financial planning.

•Monitor business expenses across corporate and port operations.

Desired Skills & Competencies

•Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

•Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and statutory compliance.

•Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.

•Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle or Tally).

•Good communication and coordination skills.

•Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Candidate Profile

•Newly qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI.

•Freshers or candidates with up to one year of post-qualification experience.

•Candidates with articleship exposure in statutory audit, internal audit, taxation or corporate finance will be preferred.

•Exposure to manufacturing, commodity trading, import-export or logistics businesses will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹115,000.00 per month
