Troubleshoot electrical issues in SPMs Diagnose and resolve faults in PLC-based machines Perform analysis of machine errors to identify the root cause Handle breakdown maintenance for CNC Inspect, test, and replace sensors, actuators and relays
Key Responsibilities - Design complete press tools (stamping, piercing, bending, forming) based on product and manufacturing requirements. - Take full ownership from design to execution, ensuring the tool is manufactured exactly as intended. - Work closely with in-house toolroom teams and coordinate with external vendors (wirecut, VMC, EDM, grinding, etc.) to get components made. - Follow up with machine operators, machinists, and fabricators to ensure timely and accurate tool part production. - Supervise tool assembly, fitting, and tryout until the tool runs correctly in the press. - Identify and resolve issues during tool trials; make design modifications to improve performance, durability, and accuracy. - Select suitable materials, hardness, tolerances, and machining processes for tool components. Required Skills & Experience - Strong mechanical aptitude with practical, hands-on experience in building mechanical assemblies or tools. - In-depth understanding of machining processes: milling, turning, grinding, wirecut, EDM, and surface treatments. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and fits. - Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent). - Capable of troubleshooting tool issues and guiding machinists during corrections. - Strong coordination and project management skills to handle multiple manufacturing steps. Preferred Background - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making. - 5+ years of experience in press tool design, development, and execution.
